A clear night followed a clear day .A promise of an Aurora was fulfilled around 9pm and lasted for a couple of hours , the peak of that time is recorded here . The foreground is made up of the black ash jewelled beach of Jokulsarlon ,strewn with sofa size lumps of crystal ice . ,it’s not often that the two components of an image are 60miles apart .
