On a cold and windy day , a trip to Fjalsarlon ( a glacier with a lagoon in front running from Iceland’s tallest peak at 6,920 ft Öræfajökull just a mile from the sea ) yielded an unexpected image that I didn’t notice until returning to the UK .

Your probably wondering what initiated the stop in the first place ? Well it was the foreground of receding cables ,coupled with the rays of sunshine streaming through the clouds , honest !
A month later editing the images of the trip ,in tweaking the contrast , the bear appeared ,and a polar bear it that . Shortly after it went viral on a few Icelandic car hire & tourist websites .
