One area that has great capacity for images , is the Snæfellsnes peninsular,on the west coast of Iceland . The area is rich in history ,culture and images ,but is uniquely remembered for just one image , Kirkjufell . For those unfamiliar with the area, it’s the Pyramidal, Church like mountain (Kirk ) , usually photographed with Kirkjufoss in the foreground, it’s a stunning scene ! I took a sequence of northern lights at this location back in 2017 , unforgettable.
However don’t let this image steal the show , it’s always an idea to turn around and look around . The full 360°.
This was one of those occasions , a small farm north of the mountain with a mist capped hill caught my eye , and that was that . It’s another one of those threads I spoke about , an enrichment to the landscape .
