At first appearance these just seems like any other Atlantic storm beach , But the drama that unfolds beneath the gothic spire rock outcrops tells an amazing story , here is the shortened version .This beach located on the Reykjanes peninsular on the south west tip of Iceland is where the mid Atlantic ridge emerges from it’s thousands of miles of the deepest submerged existence in the Atlantic ocean .It appears not only to come up for air ,but to let off steam in the form of fumaroles literally a few hundred yards away. Most of which the Icelanders have transformed into electrical power used locally. from this point the European & American tectonic plates go their separate ways at a rate of 2cm a year.
