A recent chat with a trusted friend made me review and apply my own counsel to myself , in that given recent events of Covid , a life changing accident ,and a recent fuel shortage has made me view the place of my birth “through the eyes of a stranger ! “ often regarded by some as now the tacky end of the holiday resorts , on close examination has reason to be proud of its heritage especially so of its Victorian past and its history that I’m aiming the lens at . This one was the image that we discussed, almost devoid of the modern world unchanged for the most part since 1894 the completion of the Blackpool Tower , and in the foreground the North pier opened in 1863 .
