Icy Twighlight Londranga

Winter sunset, Londranga , Iceland

Just for a fleeting moment the sun broke through the heavy clouds that had dodged the whole day , as is the case most of the time in this neck of Iceland . The west winds loaded with moisture condensate as they crawl north . But just for a few moments the clouds parted to briefly drop golden dust on the deep turquoise ocean. Not normally a fan of long exposures, as they are often overdone , but the seas were too rough to capture the reflection, slowing things down to a 20 second exposure  uncovered the sprinkles of gold dropped on the surface .
